Privacy notice

Patients Academy is deliberately privacy-light. There are no accounts, no patient forms, and no advertising or analytics trackers. We do not use cookies for advertising or analytics. Cloudflare may use strictly necessary cookies when required to protect and deliver the website.

Who we are

Patients Academy is operated by Urostar Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11002418) with its registered office at The Nutteries, Lynn Road, Setchey, King's Lynn PE33 0AY. Urostar Limited is the data controller for this website. Our ICO registration number is ZC262264. You can contact us about privacy at [email protected].

Visiting the website

When you visit, our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to deliver the website and protect it from attacks. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website. This information is held in short-lived logs and is not used to identify or profile you.

Fonts and images are served from our own site, so viewing a page does not send your information to font or analytics providers.

Watching videos

Videos are hosted on YouTube. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play. When you do, the video loads in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, and Google (which owns YouTube) will then process information about your viewing under Google’s privacy policy.

Emailing us

If you email us, we process your name, email address and anything you include in order to reply. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries. Our email service is provided by Microsoft Exchange Online (Microsoft 365), which processes messages on our behalf. We keep enquiry emails for up to 24 months after the last correspondence, unless a longer period is needed for an ongoing matter or legal obligation, then delete them.

Please do not send medical records or details of your health. We cannot give individual medical advice by email.

Sharing and international transfers

We do not sell or share your information for marketing. Our service providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, this is covered by the safeguards required by UK data protection law.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information, and to ask us to correct, delete or restrict it, or to object to how we use it. Contact us at [email protected]. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

We will update this notice if we add analytics, forms, newsletters or other services. Last updated 27 October 2026.
